The Day Hike in Darjeeling Tonglu is the perfect one day getaway to crisp mountain views, after passing through friendly villages and sharing a meal with locals. It is perfect for those who have limited time in Darjeeling, but can’t leave without seeing the colossal Himalayan peaks and nature walk. In fact, on this single day tour, you will come face to face with Kanchenjunga (8586 meters / 28,169 feet), and if the weather is very clear you, the Mount Everest Family might also come into view will make an appearance! The excursion begins at 6:00 AM and concludes by 5:00 PM. The actual hiking duration is approximately 6-7 hours, while the round-trip drive to and from the base camp takes 3 hours. Participants will enjoy a local breakfast in Dhotery and a traditional lunch at Tonglu.
