Description

From Chania, we head eastwards to start our day tour of the Akrotiri peninsula. Our first stop is the small, secluded, sandy beach of Macherida. The beach is named after the wild gladioli (Gladiolus italicus) that grow in the fields behind the beach during the spring. We then continue towards the sandy, protected beach of Stavros, well-known from the film “Zorba the Greek”. After a swim (and maybe a dance?) we jump onboard and circle the north side of the headland stopping at the narrow creek of Katholiko, at the mouth of the narrow and impressive gorge.. the deep blue sea invites us to cool off! Next up, is Seitan Limani beach, where we enjoy the crystal, turquoise waters from our boat, away from the crowds. Not far away, we come to Marathi island and beach, a wonderful place to stop for lunch. In the afternoon, we make our way back to the old harbour of Chania, if we´re lucky, we might see turtles!

La nostra prima tappa sarà la spiaggia di Stavros, una baia sabbiosa e protetta, famosa per il film "Zorba il Greco"

Dopo una nuotata (e magari un ballo?) saltiamo a bordo e giriamo lungo il lato nord del promontorio fermandoci alla stretta insenatura di Katholiko, allo sbocco della stretta e imponente gola.. il mare blu intenso ci invita a rinfrescarci!

La prossima tappa è la spiaggia di Seitan Limani, dove ci godiamo le acque cristalline e turchesi dalla nostra barca, lontano dalla folla.

Non lontano, arriviamo all'isola e alla spiaggia di Marathi, un posto meraviglioso dove fermarsi per il pranzo. Nel pomeriggio, torniamo al vecchio porto di Chania, se siamo fortunati, potremmo vedere le tartarughe! inoltre potremmo fermarci in qualche altra baia per goderci una nuotata

La nostra barca sarà ormeggiata proprio di fronte alla Taverna Apostolis, c'è un parcheggio a 2 minuti a piedi dalle nostre barche. se stai usando un taxi chiedi loro di farti entrare al Chania Sailing Club.
