Iniziamo il nostro tour con il Wahnfried Museum. Wahnfried, il nome dato da Richard Wagner alla sua villa deriva da Wahn (illusione, follia) e Fried (e), (pace, libertà). Avanziamo inoltre al Margravial Opera House, che è un teatro dell'opera barocco costruito tra il 1744 e il 1748. È uno dei pochi teatri sopravvissuti del periodo in Europa ed è stato ampiamente restaurato. Il 30 giugno 2012 il teatro dell'opera è stato iscritto nella lista del patrimonio mondiale dell'UNESCO. Stiamo passando accanto al Bayreuth Festival Theatre, uno dei più grandi luoghi di opera al mondo, dedicato esclusivamente all'esecuzione di opere del compositore tedesco del XIX secolo Richard Wagner.
