   Halfway along the Rodwell trail we will make a 30 second detour to view the historic Sandsfoot Castle ruins, walk around the immaculately kept gardens and enjoy views over Portland Harbour.

   After the ride across the Portland causeway we will head over to explore the vibrant marina; home of the national sailing academy and site of the 2012 Olympic sailing events. There will also be an opportunity to admire the historic Portland Castle.

   After leaving Portland Castle we will ride the 1 mile up the hill to the top of Portland to enjoy spectacular views across Chesil Beach and the stunning Jurassic coastline from the Olympic Rings viewpoint. PLEASE NOTE - The climb up the hill is 1 mile and is part on road. A further safety briefing will take place before we begin this route of the tour.

   Explore the iconic Portland Bill Lighthouse and the rugged coastline at the tip of Portland. We will stop for approximately 1 hour to grab refreshments/lunch at the Lobster Pot Café.

   The ride back to Weymouth town centre from Portland Bill will begin but the tour will not be complete without stopping at Tout Quarry Sculpture Park and memory stones. We will stop here to explore on foot the park and enjoy further views across Chesil beach.
