Tour to Cajón del Maipo: Reservoir El Yeso & Salto el Yeso

An impressive landscape formed by turquoise color waters and the imposing Andes Mountains as a background.
We will start our tour very early to be able to enjoy a beautiful morning at (reservoir) Embalse del Yeso. an incomparable landscape surrounded by mountains covered by a blank snow mantle. It is the perfect background to get beautiful pictures that will immortalize this experience.
Once we get to the andean mountain range we´ll make a stop in San Jose to get Coffee and snacks, to get strength for the demanding trekking of 700 meters that take us to the viewpoint where it is possible to see the sky reflected on the reservoir waters.
Then we will head to El Yeso Jump of water, a 15 meters waterfall that has a safe observation area. we will have a break, if you want to it is possible to have your own Picnic here.
After is possible to stop at “El Tinoco” Tunnel, built in 1906, which was used by a little train that joined Puente Alto with the miner camping of “El Volcan”

Dopo aver attraversato le diverse località che si trovano ai lati del fiume Maipo, ci fermeremo a conoscere la città di San Jose de Maipo, dove potrai fare colazione se vuoi.

Visiteremo il tunnel del tinoco, costruito nel 1906, attraverso il quale una piccola ferrovia collegava (puente alto) l'alto ponte con la città mineraria El Volcan.

Da lì, proseguendo lungo una strada rustica, arriviamo all'impressionante paesaggio di Embalse El Yeso, con le sue acque turchesi e il suo sfondo di imponenti montagne, sempre coperte da una coltre di neve. È lo sfondo perfetto per immortalare il momento con una fotografia.
