Tokyo Ukiyo-e Studio with Artisan Featured at the British Museum

2h

Description

This ukiyo-e making experience is a special opportunity not open to the general public. At Takahashi Studio, you can receive explanations on how to appreciate ukiyo-e from one of the world's most renowned ukiyo-e artisans. Takahashi Studio has conducted lectures and demonstrations at prestigious institutions such as the British Museum and the Detroit Institute of Arts. Moreover, you can observe live demonstrations of ukiyo-e production by authentic artisans. Under the direct guidance of these artisans, you can create your own ukiyo-e and take home two ukiyo-e fans featuring your artwork. As a special gift, you can also take home an authentic ukiyo-e print (valued at 20,000 yen) personally crafted by the artisans at Takahashi Studio. In addition to the souvenir ukiyo-e, you can consider purchasing renowned ukiyo-e woodblock prints by masters like Hokusai and Hiroshige. Why not take home these traditional Japanese souvenirs with the ukiyo-e fan and ukiyo-e book cover you made?
