Temazkal (from the aztec language Nahuatl temazcalli - 'house where you sweat', from "temaz"=sweat, and "calli"=house) is a steam bath used in traditional medicine and the daily lives of the peoples of North and Mesoamerica for medicinal purposes of detoxification through sweating from infusions: herbs such as grass, rosemary, chamomile, lemon, pericón, eucalyptus, aloe, among others; depending on the benefit sought or the area where it is carried out. This healing ritual allows the purification of the soul and the body, it is a rebirth and the beginning of new cycles.  According to ancient cultures, the temazcal is to return to the maternal womb, presided over by great Goddesses such as Tlazolteotl (Goddess of Fertility) and Toci (Goddess of the temazcal and grandmother of the Gods) in order to devour what no longer serves us to transform it into fertile soil and transmute it into new life.
