On foot from Piazza Tasso the main square of the town, crossing the ancient streets protected by high tufa walls such as Via Santa Maria della Pietà, you’ll admire the three ancient palaces, a tufa arch and a Corinthian column.You’ll discover the lemon and orange grooves and their wonderful atmosphere. The guide will explain the technique of grafting lemon branches to orange trees, thereby boosting overall citrus fruits production. You will taste typical local cheeses: Mozzarella, Caciottina, Ricotta, local pickles accompanied with wine. The walking tour carries on towards the streets of Sorrento’s historic centre, Via San Nicola, Via dell’Accademia, Via Santa Maria delle Grazie, Sant’Antonino Square, Via Sant’Antonino and Via Correale where we will stop at the “Agruminato” the citrus garden, where you will be served refreshing lemonade and a taste of limoncello after your walk.
