   In piazza Venezia (Venice Square), the big monument building started in 1885 to celebrate the unification of Italy and its first king Vittorio Emanuele II. Since 1921 is also the Monument to the Unknown Soldier.

   The Pantheon, from the ancient greek Pantheion, the "temple of all the gods", is the best preserved ancient building in Rome. It is still in use today.
