Located in the Tijuca National Park, between the neighborhoods of Barra da Tijuca and São Conrado, Pedra da Gávea is the largest monolith by the sea in the world, 842 meters above sea level. But that's not the only reason why it fascinates locals and tourists: Pedra da Gávea is a reference for mountaineering, being considered the most challenging trail in the city as it has short sections of climbing during its ascent.
