Cooking Lab on Norcineria With Lunch & Assisi guided tour

During this workshop we'll come into contact with an Umbrian tradition: butchery. That of the pork butcher is a very ancient profession, and Umbria, in particular, has managed to make it a real culinary art renowned since Roman times. Today our chef will talk about the anatomy of the pig, the different types of cuts and he will teach us all the secrets of this culinary tradition: from the basic techniques to the processing of the meat, up to the salting and maturing of the meat, and the making of sausages . At the end, we will enjoy a well-deserved lunch with the results of our work and other typical Umbrian products! The visit of Assisi with a private guide will give you the chance to have a more complete approach to Assisi's and St. Francis's history, and the artistic, architectural and religious treasures of the city. You'll visit the main monuments and churches, walking through its enchanting alleys until reaching the Basilica of San Francesco, where the remains of the Saint rest.
