Description

This tour is a mix of walking in the countryside and a morning routine in a little Mediterranean town. We will enjoy the views of Korčula from east and west and walk in nature where scents and sounds tell the story of an island named after its forests. On our route we will stop at a few places hidden from the usual tourist paths and you'll hear about local culture, history and customs. In fact, you 'll be one of 1% percent of visitors who will have seen some of them. A short visit to the fish and green market will give you a better idea about what we locals eat. Towards the end of the tour, we will buy a few home- made traditional cookies and have a cup of coffee at my favorite café. Having time to enjoy a cup of coffee with friends every day is a privilege of life in a small town. And I love meeting new people, so I am looking for a chance to have a cup of coffee and a little chat. At the end, you will be ready for the day ahead, energised and relaxed. Welcome to Korčula :-)

Il tour ti porterà attraverso la città fino ai vicini parchi e foreste. Godrai della vista della parte storica della città di Korčula da est e da ovest, camminerai nella vicina campagna e vedrai monumenti e strutture che sono raramente visitati dalla gente del posto. Camminerai principalmente in un ambiente verdeggiante. Tuttavia, camminare nell'area urbana selezionata ti darà una comprensione più profonda della vita attuale a Korčula.

Durante il tour visiteremo una fortezza costruita durante il dominio britannico all'inizio del XIX secolo. È ancora forte come una volta e ti parlerò delle sue origini. Da bambino ci giocavo molto con i miei amici.

Ci incontreremo vicino alla fontana rotonda in Piazza Plokata, proprio di fronte all'edificio della banca OTP. C'è una foto della fontana nelle foto del tour. Non dovresti perderlo :-)

Si prega di non prenotare il tour se non si possono salire le scale o camminare su superfici irregolari. La maggior parte del tour è su strada sterrata o sentiero, quindi tienilo a mente al momento della prenotazione. Per raggiungere una delle colline intorno a Korčula dovremo salire la strada con comode scale (la gente del posto le usa tutti i giorni) e può essere impegnativo per chi ha problemi cardiaci o motori moderati o gravi.
