Trust me when I say I understand that feeling of being alone in a city without knowing anyone. Sometimes, even when we want to practice the language, it's hard to find people to talk to. I think the best experience you could get about traveling is to discover different people, food, landscapes, architecture and culture. But sadly, sometimes the language barrier is a handicap. I've been working as a Spanish teacher for more than 5 years! And gladly, I have worked with foreign students from many different nationalities.
