During this tour you'll visit Debre Libanos Monastery, the oldest Orthodox Christian Monastery in Ethiopia which dates back to the 13th century, enjoy scenic view of the Jemma River Gorge and walk on the Portuguese Bridge. You can expect there to see plenty of birds and geladas monkeys - a type of endemic baboon. Il monastero di Debre Libanos è il più grande monastero cristiano ortodosso etiope. Situato a 105 km da Addis Abeba (2h30 di guida), il monastero di Debre Libanos fu originariamente fondato nel 1283 da un santo etiope chiamato Saint Tekle Haymanot che meditò in una grotta per 29 anni. Durante il tour, visita la chiesa costruita dall'imperatore Haile Selassie I negli anni '60 e il museo.

Si tratta di un antico ponte di roccia a due arcate. Il ponte fu costruito dai soldati portoghesi nel XVI secolo. Tuttavia, alcuni storici affermano che Ras Darge abbia effettivamente costruito il ponte portoghese nel XIX secolo. Questa è anche un'occasione per avere una bella vista sulla gola del fiume Jemma (un ramo del Nilo Azzurro) e per vedere molti uccelli e Gelada, un tipo di babbuini endemici.
