Description
Your adventure to Vinicunca, the famous Rainbow Mountain, begins early in the morning with a scenic drive from Cusco. Along the way, you’ll pass through quiet Andean villages, fertile valleys, and herds of llamas and alpacas. A stop for breakfast energizes you for the trek.
Once at the trailhead , the hike begins across high-altitude landscapes. The journey takes about 1.5–2 hours, and with every step, the anticipation grows until the vibrant stripes of Rainbow Mountain finally come into view. At the summit, standing over 5,000 meters (16,000 ft) above sea level, you’ll have time to soak in the stunning panorama, capture photographs, and learn from your guide about the geology and cultural significance of this extraordinary site.
After enjoying the mountain’s beauty, you’ll descend back to the base , where the return journey includes a well-deserved lunch . After enjoying lunch you will drive back to Cusco.
