Located more than 4,200 meters above sea level, this place offers a unique natural spectacle that begins before dawn, when the combination of extreme cold and volcanic activity results in plumes of steam emerging from the earth like ancestral gasps.
Upon arrival, you will find dozens of boiling geysers, thermal pools and fumaroles that transform the landscape into a surreal setting, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and endless skies. The early departure has a purpose: it is at dawn that the contrast in temperature creates the largest and most dramatic plumes of steam, offering a visual spectacle that looks like it was taken from another planet.

El Tatio è uno dei luoghi più visitati del deserto di Atacama. In quest'area, ammireremo da vicino le continue eruzioni di vapore dagli oltre 100 piccoli crateri che formano il terzo campo di geyser più grande del mondo. Passeggeremo accanto alle piscine termali e gusteremo una deliziosa colazione osservando l'attività geotermica al sorgere del sole. Vi innamorerete!

Dopo aver recuperato le forze, ci lasciamo alle spalle gli spettacolari paesaggi del campo di geyser di El Tatio per raggiungere la laguna di Machuca, dove vedremo una zona umida abitata da una grande varietà di uccelli degli altopiani, come fenicotteri e anatre.
