Itinerary

  1. 1

We'll meet at the Opera (Grand Theatre) and take a 10 minute

We'll meet at the Opera (Grand Theatre) and take a 10 minute stroll down one of the most famous Bordeaux boulevards, passing charming cafés and boutiques. If you wish, we can stop by a local wine shop to pick up a bottle to enjoy with the class. Once we arrive at my apartment, we'll get to know each other over an apéro—a drink and small bites- and I'll introduce our seasonal menu. As I demonstrate the steps you're invited to participate in the cooking as much or as little as you're comfortable with. We’ll generally make the dessert first so it has time to set or bake, and then make a main dish. Example dishes we could make, depending on the season: Mushroom Bourguignon, Beet Tartare, Tomato Tarte Tatin, Crème Brûlée, Mousse au chocolat...and more! The recipes we make will be recreations of French classics and entirely vegan. After cooking, we’ll enjoy conversation and laughter over a beautiful candlelit dinner. I’ll also be happy to offer my recommendations for discovering Bordeaux. Please note: Due to regulations, alcohol is not included but you are welcome to bring your own wine or stop along the way at lovely local wine shop to pick up a bottle to enjoy with the class.

Meeting point

We will meet on the steps of the Opera (Grand-Théâtre) in the center of Bordeaux. From there we will take a lovely 10-minute stroll to my apartment, passing high-end boutiques, and charming cafés. If you’d like, we can stop at a local wine shop so you can pick up a bottle to enjoy during the class.
