Departure at 09:00 from the Petruzzelli Theatre in Bari to Castel del Monte, about an hour by car. This iconic octagonal castle, built by Emperor Frederick II, is located on a hill in the Alta Murgia National Park at 540 meters above sea level. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it captivates visitors with its medieval architecture, art and legends. The next stop is Trani, just 30 minutes away. Known for its elegant charm, Trani is a city of white stone and rich in history, perhaps founded in the time of Aeneas. Its ancient quarter surrounds the port, where the great cathedral overlooks the sea like a majestic ship, earning the title of "Queen of Apulian Cathedrals". Enjoy an hour of free time for lunch or shopping. Return to Bari at 15:00, arriving after about an hour.
