Starting in central Pamplona near the Paseo de Sarasate, you
Starting in central Pamplona near the Paseo de Sarasate, you'll open the Explorial app, enter the 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message, and let the riddles lead you through the old city. No guide, no fixed start time. Your first stop is the Ayuntamiento y Plaza Consistorial, the 17th-century town hall from whose balcony the opening rocket of the San Fermín festival is fired each year. The riddles go beyond the bull run to the city's deeper civic history. The route then climbs to the Mirador del Caballo Blanco, a quiet terrace perched above the city walls with views across the valley below. Few visitors find it without a nudge — the app makes sure you do. From there, the hunt takes you down the legendary Cuesta de Santo Domingo, the steep cobbled street where the encierro begins. The riddles here bring the centuries-old tradition to life. Allow around 2 hours at a relaxed pace. Pamplona has far more to offer than one famous week — and this tour is built to show you that.
