So trust us that to really know Sintra you have to go beyond the walls of its many palaces. That said, it would be rude to drive past the UNESCO World Heritage town and not share a saucy story or two before we dive into the forest. Our restored ex-military vintage 4WDs look cool as hell but they’re also the best way to tackle the terrain in the wild, wild west. Our favourite unmarked secret trails will lead us to remote natural and built monuments that no other tourists ever reach. From untouched lakes to ancient hilltop convents, we’ll pull up at the coolest hidden gems and chase non-stop adventure in Sintra-Cascais Natural Park.
