Path of the Prince

Trekking: The Sentiero del Principe is an interesting excursion that starts from the historic center of Salerno to reach the Arechi Castle. This is a path that blends local medieval history with the surrounding natural space. During the Middle Ages, Salerno was the capital of an important Lombard kingdom. The city was the headquarters of the first medical school for that period and considered the embryo of modern universities. Once you reach the Castle, you will have a splendid view over the city and the beginning of the Amalfi Coast.
