   Palazzo de' Medici is an attraction located on the Mediceo side of the Arno river. Placed on the opposite side of the ruins of Palazzo Chiesa (where Percy and Mary Shelley briefly resided). Today it is used as the seat of the prefecture.

   Palazzo Chiesa (ruins): Former residence of poet Percy Shelley and his novelist wife, Mary Shelley. Destroyed in World War 2, it still carries a plaque in remembrance of the great English literary giants.

    Piazza dei Cavalieri was the heart of political life in Pisa. The second most famous squadre after Piazza dei Miracoli. Today it's the seat of the prestigious Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa for higher education. It is also the location of the tower where Count Ugolino della Gherardesca met his demise in 1289, later famously featured in Canto 33 of Dante's Inferno.
