Leidarendi is located about a 30 minute drive from Reykjavik
Leidarendi is located about a 30 minute drive from Reykjavik, near the Blue Mountains in Southwest of Iceland. There is a 150 meter walk up to the entrance of the cave. Your guide will provide you with a helmet and a headlight for you to explore the magnificent lava formations and colors that the Leidarendi cave has on display. Be prepared for the cold air in Leidarendi and dress appropriately, as you spend about an hour traveling through the cave. There is a bit of hunching and crawling involved but for the most part, the cave is easily accessible. Summer Departures: 08:00 to 08:15 am (from 1. April to 31. October) Winter Departures: 09:00 to 09:15 am (from 1. November to 31. March) Pick up and drop off from Reykjavik is included in the price. Duration: 3 hours Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites Minimum participants: 2 people Maximum participants: 8 per guide Rank: Easy WHAT TO BRING We will provide you with all necessary gear required for caving. You will, however, have to bring: • Warm clothes suited for the coldness in the cave • Good hiking boots • Outer layer that protects from water as it can be wet inside the cave • Lunch or Snack • Camera

- This is a small group tour ensuring more time is spent exploring the cave (max. 8 people)
- Minimum recommended age is 10 years old
- Minimum participants: 2 people (Contact us if you are traveling alone as we might already have a small group departing at your desired date)
- Summer Departures: From 1. Mar – 31. Oct: Pick up is between 7:45 and 8:15am
- Winter Departures: From 1. Nov – 28 February: Pick up is between 8:45 and 9:15am
- Not recommended for people with claustrophobia
- Travelers should be comfortable with crawling through some tight/ low areas
