Your guide will put you in the best position possible to entice these fishes and instruct you on how to hook them, but ultimately it will be your hands on the rod if a hit comes. If that rod bends over, you will feel the power of a pristine ecosystem pulling back against you, striving to survive, and it will be up to you to bring that fish in. Your guide will encourage, advise, and do their best to land the fish, but the fight is all yours. If you are lucky enough to see one of these magnificent animals come to the surface, it’s a highlight of any Alaskan adventure. No matter what the conditions or the catch, this trip offers the best chance of exposing guests to the diverse and alien species found on the deep sea floor. *Halibut is limited to 1 per person per day up to 37" or over 80"
