Experience the awe of Mount Rushmore National Memorial, our iconic tribute to American history. Carved directly into the granite peaks, these massive 60-foot faces bring history to life. You will stand before George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. Your guide will lead you through the facility sharing its history and pointing out things of interest. After touring, you will have time to self explore: movie, dining, shopping are all available. At sunset the rangers provide a program that honors our veterans, including a patriotic movie and the lighting of the mountain. Please be aware the program is provided even if it rains. *However, if dangerous lighting or high wind, Rangers cancel the show. "The Mount Rushmore National Memorial Evening Lighting Ceremony is an outdoor event. Because of this, all activities are fully subject to weather conditions and can be changed or canceled on short notice." Natl Park Service
